Our client is a FTSE100 property company based in central London with a portfolio value in the region of £5bn. As part of a small team the Financial Accountant position reports to the Financial Reporting Controller. The primary focus of the role is to lead the subsidiary financial statements production process for the Group. This will include preparing key financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS, the review and analysis of financial statements prepared by colleagues, as well as contributing to the Group reporting process at the quarter end, half year and year end.
The company has recently been through a period of change and restructure, some of which is ongoing. This will undoubtedly create other opportunities for individuals as roles and responsibilities become clearly defined. We are therefore looking for an ambitious and adaptable Chartered Accountant, who qualified with a Big 4 firm and has spent at least a year in commerce since leaving the profession. Applicants must have a detailed practical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS as well as previous experience of consolidated financial statements.
