Director - Data Analytics Consulting

Our client, a global consulting firm, is experiencing significant growth in several key markets and across them it is keen to augment its data offering with senior consultants who demonstrate technological, functional or industry specific expertise within the fields of data management, extraction or investigation.
Summary
The role will involve the development of innovative data driven strategies to solve business issues in multi-disciplinary teams of market leading experts. Candidates should therefore demonstrate interpersonal professionalism, gravitas and client responsiveness: they should already have project managed or been involved in the delivery of data solutions in a client focused environment– either in a consulting or in-house team.
There is particular interest in data analytics specialists who have an exceptionally deep understanding and technical proficiency in particular operational/financial systems, data analytics tools, industries (e.g. retail, pharmaceutical, banking) or business functions (e.g. purchasing, logistics, working capital, sales and revenue management).
Qualifications:
Minimum 2.1 (Hons) degree and ideally a Masters or PhD in a related discipline.
General Experience:
• Statistical techniques and analysis such as regression, clustering, sampling, social network analysis
• Data extraction, cleansing and manipulation
• Track record of delivering data analytic projects

Deep Experience - in one or more of the following:
• Data manipulation and statistical analysis software, e.g. SAS, SQL, KXEN, SPSS
• Handling large data volumes - including efficiency and scalability concepts
• Use and integration of 3rd party data, e.g. Experian, Axciom, CACI
• Data linking / fuzzy matching techniques
• Query, reporting and OLAP
• SAP, JDEdwards, IDEA, ACL, Oracle, Datactics, Trillium, Dataflux, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Access, SQL Server, VBA, Power Point, Visio
• Relational and/or dimensional data modelling / data warehousing
• Commercial consulting experience
• Accounting/Audit experience
• Forensic/Fraud related investigations experience
