Employment Tax and International Assignments Manager (Ref : 881376 )
My client is a London based Financial Services organisation. As their global workforce continues to expand they are looking to appoint a talented specialist to straddle their Tax and HR team providing support on Employment Taxes and International Assignments issues.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Solid Employment Taxes including PAYE, NI, benefits and expenses, PAYE Settlement Agreements, advice and assistance in respect of HMRC audits, overseas issues, shares and employment status. Experience will preferably have been gained in a client facing role within a professional services or large corporate firm.
• Solid global assignments experience including international tax and social security, executive reward, expatriate policies and global mobility issues , permits and immigration, pensions, and package development for all types of cross border moves.
Core responsibilities will include:
• managing processes to include payroll, bonus, social security, immigration, pension, stock options, tax reserves, tax reconciliations, tax returns
• Ensuring that the expatriate population remains compliant – for example following any changes to tax, immigration or social security legislation
• Managing information flow to relevant business areas with regard to any legislative changes and market trends as they affect global mobility across various regions. Evaluate potential impact on business and population and provide solutions. Provide internal clients with regular updates on these matters.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with external advisors
• Dealing with all expatriate queries and administration
Core skills
• Degree/professional qualification plus minimum 5 years experience in global mobility
• Solid technical understanding of employer taxes and global mobility including the impact of employment structure, taxation, social security, immigration
• Hands on experience managing the end-to-end assignee process.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels across the organisation
• Ability to advise clearly on esoteric issues
• Ability to deliver under pressure and to use initiative
